The Memorial Day Quad City Bicycle Race is a multi day event with the main race on Memorial Day and "Twilight Street Sprints" held the evening before. The event is held in "The District" of Rock Island, Illinois, part of the Iowa, Illinois Quad City area (Rock Island and Moline cities in Illinois and Davenport and Bettendorf cities in Iowa).
The 36th Quad Cities Criterium was Memorial Day Weekend, 2002 May 26 and 27.  WHBF reported that "in the men's top race there were racers from New Zealand and Australia."
